Copenhagen packing list for families
Copenhagen is easy with kids, but the wind off the harbor and the quick-changing skies catch a lot of families off guard. Here is what we pack to bike, swim, and wander comfortably in any season.
Kristina's notes on Copenhagen
- Copenhagen is windy even in July, so I pack a light windproof layer for everyone and skip the heavy coats unless we're coming in winter.
- Renting a cargo bike with a kid box is one of my favorite ways to see the city. Bike lanes are wide and separated, but practice a few laps in a quiet spot before you join the morning rush.
- Tivoli Gardens runs in seasons, not year-round, so check the dates before you build your trip around it. The Halloween and Christmas seasons are just as fun for kids as summer.
