Mont-Tremblant ski packing list for families

Mont-Tremblant has a walkable, colorful village and a real French Canadian feel, just a couple of hours from Montreal. The winter cold is serious, so smart layers make the difference for kids.

Kristina's notes on Mont-Tremblant Ski

  1. Quebec winters are colder than many families expect, and January can feel bitter on the lifts. I pack toe warmers, a face covering for each kid, and a dry pair of gloves for after lunch.
  2. The car-free village is easy with kids, but the walkways are often icy. Boots with real grip are a must, and the free open-air gondola between the lower and upper village saves little legs.
  3. Tremblant is usually about a two-hour drive from Montreal, so many families pair it with a city stay. Pack a carry-on that works for both, with a nicer outfit for dinners in Montreal.
