Oahu packing list for families

Oahu mixes easy Waikīkī beach days with history, hikes, and North Shore adventures. Each one asks for something a little different in your bag.

Kristina's notes on Oahu

  1. Pearl Harbor has a strict bag policy, so leave diaper bags and backpacks behind and use a clear bag or the storage there.
  2. Hanauma Bay and the Diamond Head hike both need advance reservations for visitors. Book them before you go.
  3. Waikīkī is easy with little kids, but I love adding a few nights on the North Shore or Ko Olina for a slower pace.
