- Paris is a walking city with a lot of Metro stairs and few elevators. A light stroller that folds with one hand is worth it for toddlers, and every child needs shoes they have already broken in.
- Book timed tickets for the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Sainte-Chapelle before you leave. I plan one big museum per day and pair it with a park, like the Luxembourg Gardens with its sailboats and carousel.
- Parisians dress a bit more polished than we do at home, especially at dinner. I pack neutral pieces that mix and match, plus a light layer, because spring and fall evenings turn cool quickly.
