Park City and Deer Valley ski packing list for families

Park City is one of the easiest ski trips for families, with a short drive from the airport and two very different mountains. The dry, high air and big sun shape what goes in the bag.

Kristina's notes on Park City & Deer Valley

  1. Park City is about 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City airport, so you can ski the afternoon you land if everyone has the energy.
  2. Deer Valley is ski only, with no snowboarding. If you have a teen snowboarder, plan their days at Park City Mountain.
  3. The air is very dry at this altitude. Pack a rich moisturizer and saline spray, and keep water bottles full.
