Whistler ski packing list for families

Whistler gets plenty of snow, but much of it falls wet, so packing for a family ski trip here means staying dry as much as staying warm. These are the pieces that make ski days easier for kids.

Kristina's notes on Whistler

  1. Whistler's snow often comes in wet from the Pacific. Fully waterproof outerwear and mittens matter more here than extra warmth.
  2. Book ski school early for holiday weeks and spring break. Kids' lessons fill well before the season gets busy.
  3. Pack a low-light goggle lens. Fog and flat light are common, and kids ski more confidently when they can see the terrain.
